Shocking Incident in Scotland: Man Ambushed and Stabbed from Behind in Secluded Field

A man is in a critical state in hospital after being stabbed while strolling through a field.

The 30-year-old was in a field behind Murroch Avenue in Dumbarton when he was unexpectedly attacked from behind around 10:30 am on Thursday. An ambulance rushed him to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for stab wound treatment.

Hospital officials have declared his condition as serious.

Police are requesting public assistance regarding the attack.

Detective Constable John Pryde stated: “The victim was unaware of his attacker, and we are just beginning our investigation to determine the exact details of the incident.

“We are calling for any witnesses in the nearby area at the time who may have seen something unusual to come forward.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland at 101, citing incident number 1135 of Thursday, May 16.

“Alternatively, you can phone Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.”
