Scorsese is set to host, narrate, and produce an eight-part docudrama entitled “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” for the streaming platform Fox Nation, the service disclosed this past Wednesday.

This docuseries will delve into the sagas of eight beatified individuals, including such luminaries as Joan of Arc, Francis of Assisi, Thomas Becket, Mary Magdalene, and Maximilian Kolbe — the Franciscan friar who selflessly took the place of a family man in the death chambers of Auschwitz.

The initial quartet of episodes from “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” is slated for a November release, with the subsequent four episodes set to be released by May 2025.

The acclaimed Oscar laureate, who once considered the priesthood prior to his storied film career, mentioned to the Los Angeles Times back in January that he’s adapting Shūsaku Endō’s literary work “A Life of Jesus” for his upcoming movie.
