Three articulated lorries went up in flames at a Scottish industrial estate, prompting a significant response from fire crews. The incident occurred at Westfield Industrial Estate on Deerdykes Road in Cumbernauld around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. The alarm was raised after thick black smoke was seen billowing into the sky.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service stated: “We were alerted at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, 21 April to reports of a fire affecting three articulated lorries near Westfield Industrial Estate in Cumbernauld. Operations Control mobilized two appliances to address the fire and crews remain on site.”

“There are no reported casualties,” the spokesperson added.
