Security footage seems to capture Sean “Diddy” Combs pursuing and attacking R&B singer Cassie in a hotel corridor in Los Angeles back in 2016.
The video, released by US media outlet CNN, reportedly shows Combs, clad only in a white towel, kicking his ex-partner, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, while she is on the ground.
Additionally, the footage allegedly shows the mogul pulling Ms. Ventura along the corridor and hurling a vase at her.
Combs’ representative has been reached out to for a statement. The celebrity has previously refuted any accusations against him.
The footage is dated March 5, 2016, and aligns with the details of an incident described in a now-resolved lawsuit originally lodged by Ms. Ventura in November at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.
The lawsuit documentation stated: “Around March 2016, during an altercation at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, an extremely intoxicated Mr. Combs punched Ms. Ventura in the face, resulting in a black eye.”
In the lawsuit, Ms. Ventura alleged she suffered rape and violent acts throughout their ten-year relationship, which was settled the day after its submission to a federal court in New York.
Douglas H Wigdor, Ms. Ventura’s attorney, commented on the video, stating: “This appalling video only further verifies the disturbing and predatory actions of Mr. Combs.
“Words fail to capture the bravery and resilience Ms. Ventura has demonstrated by stepping forward to shed light on this matter.”
Combs has since been implicated in several sexual abuse lawsuits, and in March, federal authorities raided his properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of a reported sex trafficking investigation.
