A teen tragically lost his life after a horrific accident involving a farmland vehicle.

The 16-year-old boy from Worsthorne, Lancashire, succumbed to his injuries following a collision in a field while riding a £30,000 Polaris Ranger Farmbike.

The crash occurred at 12.41am on Saturday, according to police reports. His companion, a 17-year-old from Burnley, miraculously escaped with minor injuries.

A spokesperson for the Lancashire Police has called on the public for witness statements and dashcam footage, noting that the incident did not involve other vehicles.

Sgt Martin Wilcock commented: “The loss of a young life in this accident deeply saddens us, and our hearts go out to his family and friends during this incredibly tough time.
